The Ministry of ICT and National Guidance is currently implementing the National ICT Initiatives Support Program (NIISP) whose main objective is to develop the ICT Innovation ecosystem. One of the components of this program is to offer support to local ICT Innovators. To this effect, a call was published in the media requesting for ICT Innovation proposals to develop systems and applications to improve service delivery. This call run till the 24th January 2019.
The Ministry takes this opportunity to thank all the individuals, organizations and teams which responded and submitted proposals to the National ICT Initiatives Support Program (NIISP). A total of 665 applications were received and evaluated by the Committee of experts which was appointed by the Minister of ICT and National Guidance Hon. Frank Tumwebaze.
A short list of 100 applicants has been selected to pitch to the Committee assisted by representatives from the respective government Ministries where the innovation is relevant. This activity will take place from the 16th-18th April, 2019. The list of the 100 shortlisted applications is attached below and they have all been notified by email.
The applicants that will not be directly supported will be availed working spaces at the various ICT Innovation hubs.
